The business started up during the pandemic and has strong growth potential as we expand our reach across the UK and the US.
As the founder, I am committed to building a team that shares our vision and values. We donate 6% of all our perm placement revenue to our chosen charities who are making a difference in the world.
We are now looking for someone to support us in these early days of business growth to join us on our journey and drive client acquisition.
About the position
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Freelancer to join our business. This is a commission-based role only but offers the opportunity to retain 40% of all revenue generated from new clients acquired. This is an ideal role for someone looking for a lucrative, second source of income, and as a freelancer, you will have the flexibility to work remotely, 2 to 3 days a week, with the aim of bringing in a minimum of 2 clients a month.
There is scope to grow the role as business growth allows while making a difference in the sustainable fashion and positive recruitment industries. With the potential of leading the Business Development function of the company as an employee, helping to nurture and grow the internal teams.
Role and Responsibilities
- Market map, identify, and engage with potential clients in the sustainably conscious fashion and retail sectors, focusing on acquiring new business partnerships.
- Utilise your expertise in business development and recruitment to present the value of Jaymes Byron’s services to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique hiring needs and propose tailored recruitment solutions.
- Understand the Jaymes Byron Terms of Business and negotiate with clients to successfully close them.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Jaymes Byron, promoting our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Bring in a minimum of 2 new clients per month to contribute to the growth of the business.
Requirements of the ideal candidate
- Proven experience in business development within the recruitment industry, with a focus on the retail sector. Especially within the UK. Additional BD experience in the US retail recruitment sector will be highly desirable.
- Familiarity with sustainable fashion and a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the industry.
- Strong network of contacts in the fashion hiring manager community (desirable, but not essential).
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work autonomously and meet targets.
- Based in the UK, preferably London, but working remotely.
- Availability to work 2 to 3 days a week on a flexible schedule.
